Since 2020, Simply Sport Foundation has backed grassroots athletes across India. We help young sports talent shine in their chosen fields and beyond by offering support that covers training, health, mental wellness, and career growth. Our goal is to make sure every athlete has what they need to do their best.
Simply Sport Foundation was established by Kanika Nagori and Ankit Nagori in Bengaluru with the mission to empower grassroots athletes across India, focusing on sports as a powerful tool for national development.
The Foundation began with a vision to support athletes not only in sport but in life, embedding values of inclusion, science, and empowerment.
Formed a strategic partnership with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), enhancing capabilities in research, sports science, technology, and infrastructure development to uplift grassroots sports nationwide.
Initiated direct work with 4 local communities, launching targeted grassroots interventions to nurture emerging talent.
Began conducting workshops focused on female athlete health, including physiology, nutrition, and menstruation, addressing overlooked challenges faced by women in sports. The Foundation also ran pioneering sessions on mental well-being and resilience for female athletes at institutions like the Army Sports Institute.
Expanded their outreach to 13 communities, significantly scaling impact across diverse grassroots environments.
Deepened athlete support by starting individualised care and development programs alongside community work.
Launched the Simply Periods initiative and menstrual health programs, including a six-month cycle tracking project (Simply Berry Bot) supported by tech partner
Contributed to policy research and was part of the drafting committee for India’s first-ever policy on female athlete health in sport, advocating systemic change.
Rolled out the Badminton Excellence Program to combat declining talent, training boys and girls with expert coaches to support promising young talent in badminton.
Launched mental health interventions and female athlete leadership programs, focusing on psychological resilience, stress management, and holistic wellness for athletes and coaches.
Started CSR projects to promote grassroots sports development deeply embedded in community ecosystems, focusing on gender inclusivity and athlete welfare.
Hosted multiple workshops educating over 6,600 female athletes and coaches on menstrual health and mental well-being, significantly advancing awareness and support in Indian sports.
Surpassed a milestone of positively impacting over 1,000 athletes and coaches through various programs nationwide.
Established partnerships with 8 major corporate CSR partners to strengthen resource availability and program scale.
Continued to enhance sports science integration into grassroots sports by offering strength & conditioning, nutrition, and sports psychology expertise via workshops and direct engagement.
Maintains active involvement in child safeguarding and athlete welfare initiatives to build safer, more inclusive sports environments.
