Since 2020, Simply Sport Foundation has been empowering the Indian grassroots sports ecosystem, with a strong focus on increasing girls’ participation and representation. We collaborate with a network of sports institutions to enable access to quality coaching, equipment, infrastructure, tournaments, and education scholarships — ensuring that every girl athlete has the opportunity to train, compete, and thrive.
We also bring sports science to the grassroots, integrating strength & conditioning, nutrition, and sports psychology into athlete development. Through our Female Health Program, we’ve reached over 8,000 athletes and coaches with educational workshops and training sessions focused on menstrual health, nutrition, and mental well-being.
Our career training and education scholarship programs further support young athletes in upskilling, preparing for the future, and building career pathways, while continuing to pursue both education and sport.
Simply Sport Foundation was established by Kanika Nagori and Ankit Nagori with a clear mission to support and strengthen India’s grassroots sports ecosystem. The journey began with the Foundation’s first partnership — Khelo Rugby in West Bengal — a program that empowers youth through the sport of rugby.
The Foundation expanded its partnerships and support to four sports communities across India, while also providing individual support to four athletes. We extended committed support to the Sports Authority of India (Bangalore) in areas such as sports science, equipment, expert guidance, and kitchen upgrades. With COVID-19 disrupting regular training, SSF introduced mental health sessions to help athletes recover, adapt, and bounce back stronger.
Expanded their outreach to 13 communities, significantly scaling impact across diverse grassroots environments.
Deepened athlete support by starting individualised care and development programs alongside community work.
Launched the Simply Periods initiative and menstrual health programs, including a six-month cycle tracking project (Simply Berry Bot) supported by tech partner Contributed to policy research and was part of the drafting committee for India’s first-ever policy on female athlete health in sport, advocating systemic change.
Rolled out the Badminton Excellence Program to combat declining talent, training boys and girls with expert coaches to support promising young talent in badminton.
Launched mental health interventions and female athlete leadership programs, focusing on psychological resilience, stress management, and holistic wellness for athletes and coaches.
Started CSR projects to promote grassroots sports development deeply embedded in community ecosystems, focusing on gender inclusivity and athlete welfare.
